Donating / Recycling

The following information should be used as a guide. Organized Life is not responsible for anything implied or not implied. Please make contact with these organizations to gain the information needed to make a decision for your item(s). Some organizations will provide documentation for tax deductions. Remember to appropriately delete personal information from an electronic device before donating or selling.

What would you like to do with your items?

  1. Donate
  2. Recycle
  3. Sell

No time for a garage sale?

Consider giving your items away so others can benefit from them. Freecycle.org is a national group and there is a chapter right here in the Dayton, OH area. Pick up/delivery of any item is arranged by the two parties involved.

Another option is 1-800-GOT-JUNK. Started by a college student, this business has expanded quickly into three countries. Go to 1-800-GOT-JUNK, figure out an estimated cost from their user friendly website, and set up an appointment. From there, 1 800 GOT JUNK will come to your location, give you an exact quote based on the items you have, and they will load it up and take it away - all you have to do is point out what needs to go. 1 800 GOT JUNK will donate as many of the items as possible, the others will be properly disposed of.
